It is not uncommon to go on auto-pilot when avoiding emotional pain. One of the basic human reactions to emotional pain is avoidance. Returning mindfully allows space to process and heal emotional pain and trauma. My goal is to create the safe space to return mindfully and heal.

After earning a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Houston at Clear Lake, I became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #75901) and Licensed Chemical Dependency (LCDC# 13821) Counselor. My areas of specialty include treating trauma, anxiety, self-esteem issues and supporting clients through life changes and periods of transition to help cope and thrive.

We schedule a 15-20 minute no cost phone call to see if we are a good fit.

We begin to build a therapeutic alliance which will be the foundation

We schedule a 15-20 minute no cost phone call to see if we are a good fit.

We begin to build a therapeutic alliance which will be the foundation for all of our work. Know that I am always on your side to navigate the best possible solutions for your personalized treatment.

Then we develop the treatment plan based on your needs. Treatment is not a set limit. Some clients require only a few months to target a goal and reach it. We can review that when discussing treatment plan.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

My training includes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked extensively with trauma in school settings, domestic violence and sexual assault in shelter and substance use treatment facilities with adults. I am able to supplement and integrate harm reduction strategies with 12-step recovery and have aided clients with trauma and addiction struggles. I have also assisted couples in conflict resolution and setting healthy boundaries.
